Spain Long-Term Residency
On April 30, 2011, Spain officially introduced its long-term residency immigration policy. This program requires applicants to provide sufficient disposable funds and accumulate a minimum of 183 days of residence in Spain each year, with no single trip outside Spain exceeding six months. This allows individuals to maintain their residency status without the need to purchase property, start a business, or make investments. It is suitable for individuals who have adequate financial support and wish to immigrate to Europe at a lower cost. By meeting the residency requirements, applicants can later transition to obtaining permanent residency in Spain and even citizenship.
Spain Long-Term Residency Application Requirements
1. The main applicant must be at least 18 years old
2. All applicants must have a clean criminal record
3. Asset requirements [Choose one]
(1) Individual bank deposits starting from CNY 500,000. For each additional applicant, the deposit amount increases by CNY 200,000
(2) Spanish bank account deposits starting from EUR 40,000. For each additional applicant, the deposit amount increases by EUR 30,000. This requirement is only applicable to applicants under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Spain in Shanghai (registered in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Anhui)
4. Both modes of application require the presence of genuine non-wage income. There is no specific amount requirement for the income. Examples of non-wage income include interest on deposits, financial returns, rental income, retirement pensions, and gifts
5. Applicants must not have any major infectious diseases
